Czech airline to open new line between Prague and Ukraine's Odessa
PRAGUE, Czech Republic (AP) - The Czech state-run airline, CSA, is opening a new line between Prague and Odessa in Ukraine, the company said Monday.
CSA said in a statement it would start flying to Odessa on April 1, and would operate seven flights weekly in both directions.
The company said it also planned to strengthen its lines to several other eastern destinations such as Istanbul, Turkey; Athens, Greece; or Bucharest, Romania.
At the same time, the airline plans to cancel its flights to Colombo in Sri Lanka, Birmingham in Britain, Baku in Azerbaijan and Goteborg in Sweden, it said.
CSA, which has 50 planes, currently flies to 119 destinations in 52 countries. The airline is a member of the Sky Team alliance, which is led by Air France-KLM and Delta Airlines.
A total of 5.2 million passengers flew with CSA last year.
